Nitin Issac Joy is a passionate and experienced senior software engineer currently working at Microsoft Azure. With over 7 years of relevant experience, he is well-versed in solving core engineering problems and has a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, OOP concepts, and building backend APIs using C# and frontend in Typescript. Nitin is also proficient in distributed systems and has experience in designing low-level and high-level architectures. Nitin's open-source contributions include bug fixes to Atomspace, a graph/knowledge database project used by the OpenCog Foundation, features and bug fixes for Azure DevOps Pipelines/Github Actions, and Glucosio, an Android app. He has also received multiple awards, including Top Gun for Q1 2021 and Q1 2022 and the Mountain Movers team award. Prior to joining Microsoft, Nitin worked as a software engineer at Zynga, where he worked on Farmville 2 Country Escape using Unity 3D, C#, Jenkins, and AWS Lambda. He also worked at Intuit, where he worked on TurboTax Desktop for Canada using C++, Python, jQuery, and XSLT. Nitin holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and completed his Senior High education in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science from Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavans, Thrissur.
